What Makes a Good Business Opportunity?

It doesn’t matter if you are an entrepreneur, professional, stay at home mom or happily employed, everyone at one time or another feels better and has a more fulfilling life if they have more time, money and a purpose. With sweeping changes in healthcare, a languishing economy or a stagnant job, partnering or “joint venturing” with absolute achievers is a sure-fire strategy to add real security in your life. Many people consider starting home-based businesses. There are literally tens of thousands of choices from franchises, network marketing, stay at home or web-based opportunities.

  • How do you choose what to do?
  • How do you know which opportunity is right for you?
  • Should you start from scratch or partner with a company?
  • Which company should you align with and why?

There are dozens of questions you should ask before starting a new business venture. The risks are many and the rewards are fleeting. My instincts told me that simply signing up for a business opportunity because it sounded “new” or interesting isn’t a good business decision. Additionally, starting a brand new company from scratch has a 99% chance of failure.

My solution was clear:

I decided to start my own company AND partnered with people with
more experience, resources, and influence than me.

It only made sense to combine these two concepts to reduce my risk, give me something I can call my own and build a team that wants the same. I have a reputation for helping others achieve success by following their dreams. My network of influence includes retired CEO’s, movie producers, millionaire health care professionals and entrepreneurs with over 30 years of business experience. Imagine how YOUR life will change when your sphere of influence includes a best selling author, millionaire business coach or a Hollywood movie producer! The possibilities for YOU are limited only by your passion for life and your courage to reach out and connect.

My mission is to serve others and help them reach their potential. I do this by speaking, writing, publishing and consulting on a daily basis. Additionally, I have created the world’s first interactive accountability book and joint ventured with nationally known millionaires in several ventures. What about you? What is your mission?

What do you want?

  • Would you like to earn an additional $50,000, $100,000 or more this year? (no hype)
  • Does an exotic vacation to a 5 star resort in the Bahamas appeal to you? (all expenses paid)
  • What would it feel like to associate with energized, exciting and forward-thinking entrepreneurs?

“But Doug, that sounds like the same B.S. hype everyone spits out!”

Your’re right….it does.

The difference is, I personally work with only a few people at a time. In my publishing business, I have a reputation for NOT finishing a client’s book until they are ecstatic over the quality. While most of my book deals are profitable, there have been a few that required additional re-writes and assistance that caused costs overruns. We actually lost money on these projects.

I didn’t care.

You see, my reputation of UNDER promising and OVER delivering on value is the only thing that has built my reputation, my companies and provided me with the lifestyle I enjoy. Therefore, I literally cannot afford to “over promise” or hype anything I say to you. In the world of the internet, it is too easy to spot a fake. So if you hear me say, “You may be able to earn an additional $2,000 per month with me” that may mean I believe you can earn MORE, but I’m holding back until you prove yourself.

There’s more bad news.

Direct selling, entrepreneurship, affiliate marketing, etc….all these business opportunities SAY that anyone can do them. The spiel is that any yutz with a heartbeat can become successful. While that’s possible, it simply isn’t probable. The truth hurts. Let’s face it, not everyone is supposed to be an entrepreneur.

Financial independence is possible for a everyone
but probable only for a select few. Here’s why…

Like all professionals, my time is extremely limited. I love working with people, but in all honesty, I only set aside my time to work with people who have an undying passion to succeed, stay committed to their goal and have a sincere desire to serve others. If this describes you, I may sincerely enjoy a conversation with you. I cannot promise you we’d be a good fit, but we won’t know that until we chat. Here’s what to do:

1. Surf this site and read a few of my blog posts so you get to know who I am.
(Getting one of my books is also a good idea!)

2. My business site, bexsi, will include an accountability system that adapts to the users personality and business.

3. Drop me an email at doug@dougcrowe.com to pre-register for the grand opening.

There are limitless possibilities available to you. In my opinion, there is no “one size fits all” business opportunity. YOUR passion, YOUR interests, and YOUR strengths must be taken into consideration for whatever you want to do. If you have an idea for a business or want to explore a few of my ventures, I look forward to speaking with you.

“In order to change your life, you have to change your life.”
